Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
- 270 g all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 227 g unsalted butter, softened
- 2/3 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/3 cup white sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp (10ml) vanilla extract
- 2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F).
2. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
3. Cream the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.
5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
6. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
7. Scoop 30g-50g portions of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
8. Bake for 15 minutes, or until the edges are golden but the centers are still soft.
9. Cool the cookies on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Notes
If the dough is too soft to handle, chill it in the fridge for 30 minutes before scooping.
